On one of our earlier articles we talked about 5 gadgets that are going to be big this year, one of them being the curved monitor. Samsung has already showed its stuff with their curved TV’s and the Samsung Edge, so this time LG is releasing its take into the world of curved technology.

The LG 34UC97 is the world’s first 21:9 curved monitor with a screen size of 34 inches. We’ve seen what LG can do with 34 inch screens and the future seems pretty bright for the LG 34UC97.

With LG’s new IPS technology the curved monitor serves to give the user clear and sharp images that would not get distorted at any viewing angle. It gives you really good picture details and color contrast with its LED backlighting that emphasizes on deep black and color definition. The ultra high definition of its screen give you a 3,440 x 1,440 pixel resolution that is sure to make you enjoy watching movies on it as well.

This flagship monitor is targeted at professionals and serves as a multi-tasking screen to replace the use of two or more screens for your desktop PC. It comes with a 4 screen split feature to make multi tasking way easier for them, the monitor also give you full control of which screen you would want to prioritize with eight different split screen ratios. The monitor would also serve a greater demographic since it is compatible to both MAC and PC systems.
