Yesterday, June 5, was the official start of this year’s E3, and we are already seeing a ton of awesome previews of what gaming companies, big and small, have in store for us. So sit back, relax and let us do the talking, because we have some of the best stuff highlighted here for you.

The Big Announcements

As predicted Nintendo announced that we will be seeing the Wii U in our near future, and not just in traditional Wii white, we will be getting the option of buying it in black as well. Along with the announcement of the long awaited Wii U we got a long list of games that will be available for it including: Super Mario Bros., Donkey Kongs Crash Course, Zombie U, and Luigis Mansion.

Sony released the Wonderbook, which collaborates with the PlayStation Move turing your PlayStation into a virtual pop-up book of sorts. Your PlayStation Move will read your actions and movements with the book and then project them onto your television screen, where then you can interact with the story, making it really a game/book hybrid. What is the first book that will be released? JK Rowling’s “Book of Spells,” Which allows Harry Potter fans to take Hogwarts in a whole new direction, with all new stories from JK and definitely a whole new experience.

You Want Games You Say? Well Here They Are:

As for games, we also saw many long awaited previews including a new Lara Croft: Tomb Raider from Square Enix, Resident Evil 6, Super Mario Bros. 2, God of War: Ascension, Dance Central 3,The Cave and The Last Of Us. Activision is also giving us a bevy of good titles to be released such as Call Of Duty: Black Ops II, Skylanders Giants, and Transformers: Fall of the Cybertron.

Speaking of Call of Duty: Black Ops II; this one looks like it will be the most intense and amazing one so far. It takes you into the near future, 2025 to be exact, giving you lots of new advanced weaponry, robotics and some really cool drone warfare. We will also be seeing the tried and true Zombie and Multiplayers modes coming back. When can we expect to get locked and loaded for COD: Black Ops II? November 13th is what we have been hearing.

Assassins Creed 3 is all new as well. This time they are taking us out of Italy, and into our own American revolution. On top of dropping you into a whole new world of AC experience, they are going to be giving us the chance to play in a multiplayer experience. Double the players, double the carnage. Bring it on. Release date is set for October 30th.

The Last of Us, a Naughty Dog creation, is still impressing at E3. This game brings character interaction never before seen. Changing opponents’ opinions and behaviors towards you depending on how you approach them and with what weapon you are holding. It also has you scavenge for resources and create your own weaponry in the post apocalyptic world. Overall, Naughty Dog, who brought us Uncharted, is still delivering, and I personally can’t wait to get my hands on this one.

Overall G3 is giving us some really rad stuff to look forward to, and the good news will just keep on coming as the conference progresses into its final few days. So stay tuned, because the best is yet to come.
